About Us 

Miguel has always had a vision of his own restaurant. He has been cooking since he was about ten years old. In Mexico, he learned from working with his mom. She has had a taco stand in Mexico City for over 40 years.


When the pandemic led to staffing cuts his friend and mentor made the tough decision to let him go but it was a blessing in disguise because he never stopped believing his vision would come to life and the time away from the corporate restaurant world gave him the inspiration and motivation to perfect his recipes and test the market by serving boxed lunches from his home kitchen.


That is how Sabroso was born. A box of business cards and some very loyal customers lead to the St Ann location where Miguel and his family and friends worked hard to bring this unique dining experience to the community. As always Miguel is planning for the future and we hope to bring more locations with more authentic foods to other parts of the St Louis Metro area.

The staff I spoke to on the phone and interacted with during pick up were professional, polite, friendly and attentive. The food was a great value for the dollar paid. You can easily eat for $10 or less at this restaurant but we wanted to try a variety of items the first time. Four of us ate different items and ordered extras.
